Why do you think the "fireside chats" were so effective as a tool for spreading public awareness of Roosevelt's policies?
masha68 [24]
Fireside chats were effective during the war because if gave up where the enemy was. It helped our soldiers find them and kill them quicker, than it would of if there was no such thing as fireside chats. The other thing it was good for was keeping the public informed. If the public wasn't informed, then there was a greater chance of more areas being obliterated during the war from not knoeing the enemy was getting ready to strike.

Hope this helps.

How does the power of the veto reflect the system of checks and balances?
wlad13 [49]

Answer:

The veto allows the President to “check” the legislature by reviewing acts passed by Congress and blocking measures he finds unconstitutional, unjust, or unwise. This forms a “balance” between the branches on the lawmaking power.

Note:

Congress has the power to override the President's veto.
