Following a 17-year reign, he had disappeared, probably forced to abdicate, and died soon after. His nine-year-old son, Tutankhaten took over. King Tut (a.k.a Tutankhamun) was the 12th pharoah of the 18th Egyptian dynasty. He was in power from 1332 to 1323 B.C.E. During his reign, he didn't accomplish that much. However, his advisers restored the traditional Egyptian religion. After his death, he disappeared from history until his tomb was discovered in 1922.
