I have this same problem I need help too!!!
s = side length of square
L = s-6 = width of rectangle (shorter side of rectangle)
W = s+1 = length of rectangle (longer side of rectangle)
multiply the length and width to get the area A
A = L*W
A = ( L ) * ( W )
A = (s-6)*(s+1) .............. substitution
A = s^2 + s - 6s - 6 ... use the FOIL rule
A = s^2 - 5s - 6 ......... combine like terms

Final Answer: s^2 - 5s - 6

Another way to think about this is... The total cost was $52. Subtracting out the cost of the layer cake ($16) leaves us with $36 to pay for the 24 cupcakes. This means that each cupcake must have cost $1.50 ( = $36 / 24 cupcakes ).
1/5 of 20=25% of 20=4 big macs
25%=1/5 of 20=4 chicken nuggets
1/10=10%=2 vanilla shakes
so 20-4-4-2=20-10=
10 french fries
i hope this helps? lol
