I, too sing America, a poem by Langston Hughes, teaches that freedom is the goal. The author raises his statements against the racial discrimination. The concept is that each and everyone should be treated equally and to be included in American society.
The kitchen represents that the author should also be allowed to eat in the table and not in the kitchen. People should have a strong determination about themselves. Also they should not think about racial discrimination that includes differences in color such as white or black and on their appearance. Rather than they should treat people in friendly tone.
