Renaissance was a period transitioning from the Middle Ages to what was called the modern world. During here, alot of achievements have been passed. It followed cultural, political, and economic growth or 'rebirth'. During this time, creative sciences which include art and authors became prevalent.

Spreading ideas in this time was vital, and the creation of the printing press helped spread ideas around. Cell phones didn't exist then!
