Based on freckles being recessive,

First cross:

 • The genotypic ratio is 1; all heterozygous normal
 • The phenotypic ratio is 1; all normal

Second cross:

 • The genotypic ratio is 2:2; two heterozygotes, 2 h0m0zygous recessive
 • The phenotypic ratio is 2:2; two normal, 2 freckles

Third cross:

 • The genotypic ratio is 2:2; two h0m0zygous normal, two heterozygous normal
 • The phenotypic ratio is 1; all normal

What are genotype and phenotypes?

Genotype refers to the genetic makeup of an organism.

Phenotype refers to the phusical expression of a trait in an organism due to the genes and the environment.

Given that freckles are recessive:

1. FF x ff = Ff, Ff, Ff, Ff

 • The genotypic ratio is 1; all heterozygous normal
 • The phenotypic ratio is 1; all normal

2. Ff × ff = Ff, Ff, ff, ff

 • The genotypic ratio is 2:2; two heterozygotes, 2 h0m0zygous recessive
 • The phenotypic ratio is 2:2; two normal, 2 freckles

3. FF × Ff = FF, FF, Ff, Ff

 • The genotypic ratio is 2:2; two h0m0zygous normal, two heterozygous normal
 • The phenotypic ratio is 1; all normal

As an analogy to gene expression in eukaryotes, let's compare it to the process of cooking recipes from a library of cookbooks.
scoundrel [369]
Two major steps are needed to obtain a protein from a gene. Transcription makes it possible to obtain a copy of the gene present on the chromosome, in the form of a messenger RNA (mRNA). Translation is the stage during which this mRNA is read by the ribosome to obtain a protein.
DNA replication is associated with photocopy because replication will give an identical copy of the cell DNA.
Transcription is associated with book printing because in transcription the genetic information will be transferred to another platform (RNA)
Nucleus in a Library since this is where the "book printing" occurs, and where the books (DNA) are
DNA is the book, where all the information are
RNA transcript is the photocopy
Translation is the cooking since it is the protein synthesis
Proteins/polypeptide is the cooking objective, so it is the prepared dish
RNA polymerase is the Xerox machine, it will copy the information in the DNA to RNA transcript
Ribosomes is the cooks, because this is where translation occurs
Activator protein are the bookmarks because it choose wich part of DNA it has to be transcript.

Classify each component according to whether it is present in a plant cell only, an animal cell only, or both plant and animal c
Oxana [17]
The plant cells contains- cell wall, central vacuole
the animal cell have- cilia cetrosomes
Both plant cells and animal cells contains - cytoplasm and mitochondrion
The main structural differences between plant and animal cells are the additional structures found in pants. The structures include, the cell wall, the chloroplasts and also the vacuoles. The similarity between them is that they both contain plasma membrane, a nucleus, a nucleolus, mitochondria, ribosomes, endoplasmic reticulum, golgi apparatus, peroxisomes and the microtubules.
