What does esoteric mean, and can you explain how to use it?
Arada [10]
Esoteric means that only a small number of people know what it means. (Kinda funny now that I look at the situation)

For example,

The debate was esoteric

Which is basically saying,

The debate wasn't able to be understood by many people.

Under what circumstances is a person considered part of a reference group?
iVinArrow [24]
I'll be honest. I love English, and have not had to do this. Maybe I have and it's just been too long... Anyway, B appears the most accurate answer, because a reference is something you use to aid you in the task you are doing. A dictionary for spelling, a picture reference for drawing something similar. Etc.
