Answer:

1st box: 2

2nd box: 10

3rd box: 18

Step-by-step explanation:

WARNING: THIS IS GOING TO BE A VERY CONFUSING EXPLANATION BECAUSE THIS IS A VERY CONFUSING ASPECT OF MATH!!!!!

The best way to solve this question is to find the most simplified version we can of the ratio.

The only "time to distance" that we are given the entire ratio to is "6:9." We can see that the first box under "distance" is 3 (which would be what we get if we divide 9 by 3) so we have to divide the 6 in the 2nd "time" box by 3 to find the most simplified ratio. 6/3=2, so we have the first box filled in now, and we know that our most simplified ratio is 2:3!

Now, we can use that ratio to fill in the rest of the boxes. For the second part, we are given the distance (15), which is 5 times the original number in the "distance" box. We have to multiply the original number in the "time" box (2) by 5 now. 2 times 5 equals 10. Our second box is filled in now!

For the third part, we are given the time and we have to find the distance. 12 is 6 times the original "time" number (2) so we have to multiply the original "distance" number (3) by 6. 3 times 6 equals 18, and we've filled in all the blanks!

Hey can you please help me posted picture of question
Andrew [12]
G(x) = F(x + 4) + 2

Addition of a number to x indicates a shift towards left. Since 4 is being added to x, this means function is shifted to left by 4 units.

Addition of a number to the function represent an upward shift. Since 2 is being added to the function value, this mean function is shifted up by 2 units.

So, G(x) is obtained by shifted F(x) 4 units to left and 2 units up.

Thus, option C is the correct answer
