What are some features of a medieval romance
riadik2000 [5.3K]

Characteristics of the Medieval Romance----CN3The term “romance” in modern literature has become degraded.  Today one thinks of romance novels as cheap, trashy books concerned with the relations between the sexes.  For the MIDDLE AGES it refers to a genre (type) of aristocratic literature, written for the wealthy, which combined adventure and courtly love with moral teaching.  It taught or reinforced the idea of  “chivalry.”  In other words, it taught the wealthy, high-born how to behave in order to maintain the social order.  It was entertaining to them as well.Medieval Romances are tales of adventure. Plots can be a religious crusade, a conquest for the knight's king, or the rescue of a captive lady or any combination. Characterized by:1. Medieval romance usually idealizes chivalry 2. Medieval romance idealizes the hero-knight and his noble deeds 3. An important element of the medieval romance is the knight's love for his lady (courtly love). 4. The settings of medieval romance tend to be imaginary and vague. 5. Medieval romance derives mystery and suspense from supernatural elements. 6. Medieval romance often uses concealed or disguised identity. 7. Repetition of the mystical number "3." (Repetitions of the number or multiples of 3) Characteristics of the Hero-Knight1. Birth of a great hero is shrouded in mystery 2. He is reared away from his true home in ignorance of his real parents. 3. For a time his true identity is unknown 4. After meeting an extraordinary challenge, he claims his right 5. His triumph benefits his nation or group.

Harry Potter and the Philsophers Stone is a good book/movie.

Explanation:

Neville Long-Bottom stands up to his friends because he doesn't want them to get in trouble for sneaking out. What mistake did pony boy make in the beginning of the book? the outsiders
Aloiza [94]
When Pony is coming back from the movies, he realizes he is alone. His first mistake is that he didn't stop to wait for Darry, Sodapop, or one of the gang members to go with him to the movies. This results in him walking home alone, which in turn makes him easy bait. He then gets jumped by the Socs, all because he didn't wait for someone else to go with him.
