Answer: (5a+b)/2

Step-by-step explanation:

1. First factor 5a^2+36ab+7b^2

=(5a+b)(a+7b)

2. Factor 2a+14b

The two can be factored out, making the equation equal to 2(a+7b).

The factored out equation is now \frac{(5a+b)(a+7b)}{2(a+7b)}

Since there is an (a+7b) on both sides of the fraction, they cancel out. You are left with (5a+b)/2. This fraction cannot be simplified more.

To verify you can multiply (5a+b)/2 times (2a+14b). If it is correct, it should come back out as 5a^2 + 36ab +7b^2

Is the function represented by the table linear
Bess [88]

Answer:

No, because it does not have a constant rate of change.

Step-by-step explanation:

On the x side of the table, there is a constant rate of change (+1). However, on the y side, it is not. The first change is +7, the next +5, and the last +6. The rate of change has to be constant on both sides for the table to be considered linear.

Answer:

Stratified design with color of paper as the blocks

Step-by-step explanation:

The experimental design that this question uses is the stratified design with color of paper as the blocks

A stratified design is one where the population has been divided into strata that are homogeneous. A good number of participants would then be picked for each of the stratum. The homogeneous strata are also known as the blocks and here in this question we have color of paper as the block here.

The students are of different school levels, elementary, high school and middle school. Each of these levels have 100 students. The students in each levels are halved and each half is randomly assigned information on either a white paper or a blue paper.

Help A.S.A.P please thank you and please :D
Lina20 [59]

Answer:

Emma was right to say that both packages are close to 2 pounds.

If we round-off the weights of both to the nearest whole number we would get 2 pounds on both. We look at the the difference of both from 2 pounds we get the following:

2.36 - 2.0 = 0.36

2.09 - 2.0 = 0.09

The smaller the difference the closer it is to the base value. So we can say that the closest one is 2.0 pounds is the package that weighs 2.09 pounds.
