Complementary angles add to 90 degrees
so let's say they are x and y
and x>y

x+y=90

the differenc is 14
x-y=14
neat

x-y=14
add y to both sides
x=14+y
subsitut 14+y for x in other equation

x+y=90
14+y+y=90
14+2y=90
minus 14 both sides
2y=76
divide both sides by 2
y=38
sub back

x=14+y
x=14+38
x=52

the 2 angles measure 38 degrees and 52 degrees

Complementary angles are angles that measure up to 90 degrees.

To find the measures of the two angles, divide 90 by two to say two angles of 45 degrees. Now divide 14 by 2, which you get 7 with. Now add 7 to 45 and subtract it from 45 as well, to get 52 and 38.

The measures of the angles are 52 degrees and 38 degrees.

What is the perimeter of a rectangle?
Ilia_Sergeevich [38]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

length = l  ;width = w

Perimeter of rectangle = sum of all sides

                                      =  l + w + l +w

                                      = 2l + 2w

                                       = 2*(l +w )

Could use some help with these. They r confusing!!
Gala2k [10]

Step-by-step explanation:

The top part is a cone.  It's volume is:

V = ⅓ π r² h

where r is the radius (half the diameter) and h is the height.

The bottom part is a cylinder.  It's volume is:

V = π r² h

where r is the radius (half the diameter) and h is the height.

The radius of the cone is 36/2 = 18 ft, and the height is 12 ft.  So the volume is:

V = ⅓ π (18 ft)² (12 ft)

V = 4,071.5 ft³

The radius of the cylinder is 36/2 = 18 ft, and the height is 39 ft.  So the volume is:

V = π (18 ft)² (39 ft)

V = 39,697.2 ft³

Therefore, the total volume is:

4,071.5 ft³ + 39,697.2 ft³ ≈ 43,769 ft³

Help me with this parallelogram please :)
antoniya [11.8K]

Parallel sides of parallelogram are equal in length

\\ \sf\longmapsto AD=BC

\\ \sf\longmapsto 6x+14=9x-4

\\ \sf\longmapsto 9x-6x=14+4

\\ \sf\longmapsto 3x=18

\\ \sf\longmapsto x=6

AD=6x+14=6(6)+14=36+14=50
