Tai resized a photograph that was 8 inches by 10 inches so that it would fit on a 4 inch by 4 inch page. Find the maximum dimens
Varvara68 [4.7K]
Ok so it has to be max 4 inches when resized since the max size is 4 inches

10 is max of original so
they have to be shrunk in same ratio so find ratio of shrink
10 times ratio=4
divide both sides by 10
ratio=4/10=2/5
so multiply the measuremet by 2/5 to find new dimention

8 times 2/5=16/5=3 and 1/5=3.2

new dimentions is 4 by 3.2 inches

Jazmin takes a ride share service home from the airport. The ride share service charges $5 as an initial cost to pick her up, an
Anon25 [30]

Answer:

38.75 = 2.25 m + 5

Step-by-step explanation:

It is given that :

Jazmin took a ride share service from airport to home.

The total cost of the ride service from airport to home is = $ 38.75

The ride service charged an initial cost for picker Jazmin = $ 5

Cost of the ride service for every mile = $ 2.25 per mile

Let the number of miles = m

Therefore, the equation that represents the situation is :

38.75 = 2.25 m + 5

where, m represents the number of miles.

A company has 3 positions(President, VP, manager) to fill. If there are 15 candidates,
Vladimir [108]

Answer: 455 possible outcomes

Step-by-step explanation:

If there are 3 positions and 15 candidates, you multiply 15 by 14, then by 13 to get the number of possible outcomes times 6.

This is because once a candidate gets a position, there will be 1 less candidate without a position each time.

15 * 14 * 13 = 2,730

Now, since there are only 3 positions, the first position has 3 possible ways, the second position has 2 possible ways, and the third position has 1 possible way.

3 * 2 * 1 = 6

2,730 / 6 = 455
