First start by writing your name: by Randhir-

Write when was the heritage program organized. Give the day and date.

Write it like this: The Heritage Awareness Programme was organised by the History club of (name of the school)

Mention the day and the time of the programme.

Mention about how the school prepared for the occasion.

Mention the chief guest of the programme.

And how many students and parents attended

Talk about the programme; Like the programme began by lighting the diyas, which was done by the chief guest and the principal.

Then a presentation was made by some of the students and teachers on the 'national heritage of our country'

The history club presented a documentary giving a brief detail on 100 monuments in the country.

Then you can say a group of students did a classical dance to end the occasion.

After which the chief guest and the principal gave a motivational speech.

It was ended with the national anthem

The programme ended with refreshments being served.

Read the excerpt below and answer the question.
alexandr402 [8]
A. It creates a melancholy mood that reflects the narrator’s feelings.

The imagery described in this paragraph is very melancholy, which seems to support the narrator's feelings.

He uses phrases like "patches of snow and earth" and "spotty clouds" which give the image of incompleteness, something not quite full.
He also uses images of darkness, "black trees" and "the stars were out" which support the unhappiness of the narrator's mood.

Which sentence needs another comma?
ollegr [7]

Answer:

3. Our teacher Miss Allen, is very good

Explanation:

Looking at these answer choices, there seems to be two different instances in which we need commas. First, whenever a proper name of someone is being identified. In these answer choices, the teacher is being identified as Miss Allen. When this is happening, her name should be between commas. Here's an example of what this looks like in another sentence:

"My neighbor, Jennifer, is very kind."

The name Jennifer in that example must be with commas since she is being identified with her proper name.

Second, any interruptions within sentences should have commas since they are disrupting the main idea of the sentence. In these answer choices, the term, " who is our teacher," is interrupting the main idea, therefor requiring commas. Here's an example of what that would look like:

"My cat, who's very grumpy, bit me earlier."

"Who's very grumpy," would be the interruption in that sentence!

Finally, we can apply this knowledge to our answer choices to find out which one is missing a comma. In the first two choices, our interruptions both have commas around them, so they are not missing any. The third choice has a comma after, "Miss Allen," but it also needs one before it. The fourth choice uses a proper comma with the proper name, so the only choice that is missing a comma is choice 3. That sentence, if correct, would read, "Our teacher, Miss Allen, is very good."
