In Chapters 20 and 21 of The True confessions of Charlotte Doyle, the theme of order takes center stage. Why does Charlotte go for the key rather than Zachariah? Charlotte goes because she is scheduled to be hanged at dawn anyway so if she is caught she will be punished anyway. Zachariah still has a chance. How do you think Charlotte's family will react to her tales? I think the family will probably not believe her. She was such a lady before and so much has changed.What was the plan for Keetch? The plan was for him to stall Captain Jaggery and to keep on deck while Charlotte sneaks into his cabin to get the key. To me I don't remember a time when I experienced someone (like Captain Jaggery) that had a particular idea about the order of something, or the way something should be. I just don't remember.
