Find the height of the lamppost to the nearest inch.
diamong [38]
<h3>The height of lamp post to nearest inch is 110 inches</h3>

<em><u>Solution:</u></em>

We have to find the height of lamppost

From the figure in question,

Given is a right angled triangle

Where,

base = 40 inches

height = ?

By definition of tan,

tan\ 70 = \frac{opposite}{base}\\\\tan\ 70 = \frac{height}{40}\\\\height = tan\ 70 \times 40\\\\height = 2.7474 \times 40\\\\height = 109.89 \approx 110

Thus height of lamp post to nearest inch is 110 inches

Find the Value of JG! PLEASE HELP ASAP!! I need help so bad!
KonstantinChe [14]
<h2>Greetings!</h2>

Answer:

JG = 34

Step-by-step explanation:

This diagram tricked me at first but then it became visible. This question tricks you into thinking that is not an equilateral triangle when it actually is. This is because of the three lines on the JG, GW and JW lines, this means that all the lines are congruent.

If GW and JW are the same length, then:

4x - 10 = 2x + 12

Simply isolate the x's on one side by moving over the +2x making it a negative 2x and move over the -10 making it a +10:

4x - 2x = 10 + 12

2x = 22

x = 11

To prove this:

4(11) - 10 = 34

2(11) + 12 = 34

<h3>So the value of JG is 34!</h3><h3 /><h2>Hope this helps!</h2>

Answer: B. (-2, 18),  (0, 10),  (2, 2)

STEP 1:  f(18)= 10 - 4 * 18= 10 - 72= -62... (18, 62)

STEP 2:  f(-18)= 10 - 4 * -18= 10 - (-72)= 82... (-18, 82)

STEP 3:  f(2)= 10 - 4 * 2=10- 8= 2... (2, 2)

Step-by-step explanation:  GRAPHING....

Graph the line using the slope and y-intercept, or two points.
