Answer:

3 quarters od the members of a club are juniors.

The rest are seniors.

Now when the word quarter pops up I always think 1/4 since 4 quarters make up a dollar.

Now 3 quarters thats already 75

At the end of the day we need to make a dollar, thw amount of serious is the remaining.
75 + x = 100?
X= 25

25 are seniors which is equal to one quarter.

So 1 quarter senior 3 quarter junior.
NOw put them into the ratio junior : senior.

3:1

What is the additive inverse of the complex number –8 + 3i?
Lady bird [3.3K]
Choices:
–8 – 3i
–8 + 3i
8 – 3i
<span>8 + 3i

The additive inverse of the complex number a + bi is -(a+bi) = -a - bi

In this case, a = -8 and b = 3i

a + bi = -8 + 3i
additive inverse is:  -(-8+3i) = +8 - 3i

The additive inverse of the complex number -8 + 3i is 8 - 3i. The 3rd choice.

At a grocery store, the price of a watermelon is determined by how many pounds the watermelon weighs. The price of a watermelon
Alexxx [7]

Answer:

p=0.60w

Step-by-step explanation:

Let

p ----> the price of a watermelon in dollars

w ---> the weight of a watermelon in pounds

In this problem we have a proportional relationship

Remember that

A relationship between two variables, x, and y, represent a proportional variation if it can be expressed in the form y/x=k or y=kx

In a proportional relationship the constant of proportionality k is equal to the slope m of the line and the line passes through the origin

In this problem

p=kw

The value of the constant of proportionality k is the same that the unit rate

Find out the unit rate

Divide the total cost by the total weight

k=\frac{4.38}{7.3}=\$0.60\ per\ pound

substitute in the equation

p=0.60w
