The northern parts of Canada is extremely cold and living there is very difficult. Think of that as Alaska. Not a lot of people live up there because of how cold it is. Also food is low and electricity is hard to get up there because of the harsh snowstorms. Hope it helped. The map helps us to located places on the earth surface. The map gives visual as well as an integrated picture of a particular area. It shows the precise geographical location and the situation or its location in relation to surrounding features. For socio-economic development also map is very important. In short without map without studying geography for geographers is quite impossible.
