In King Midas and the Golden Touch, the main character meets the god Dionysus and asks to have the power to turn anything he touches to gold. In Cassandra's Wish, the main character encounters Apollo and exchanges a kiss for the ability to be a prophetess.
In King Midas and the Golden Touch, the main character orders the farmhands to free Silenus. In Cassandra's Wish, the main character was attractive and extraordinarily beautiful.
In King Midas and the Golden Touch, the main character weeps after turning his daughter into a gold statue and seeks to reverse the wish. In Cassandra's Wish, lives a lonely life because no one believes her prophecies.
