I'd say go for it! People should not be uncomfortable about this topic! It's historical, true, raw, and a great <u>topic</u> to discuss. (To clarify I'm not saying slavery is great, because obviously it was hell.)
I think that in/ during a way you are there for one purpose. And, that's to defend your country. So.. No matter the outcome. You kinda did ask for that outcome. Nobody forced you to go to war. You trained your army for that day.
