Stalin took a number of actions that heightened the tension between the US and USSR.

Berlin Wall: He was able to show the power of the USSR, and make a symbol of Communism that stopped people from entering the Democratic nations.

Supplying other Communist countries and rebels: The USSR helped supply the rebels to take overthrow standing governments and setting up Communist governments. Because the US did not want Communism to spread over the world, it heightened the Cold War tension.

Supplying nukes to Cuba - Cuban Missile Crisis: The USSR supplied ~100 nuclear weapons to Cuba, which made the weapons close enough to strike the US. The US then took steps to contain the missiles. It ended with the Russian nukes being returned home, and the US missiles were removed from Turkey and other NATO nations near the USSR.

Iron control: Stalin started the hate because he did not give more rights to his citizens, and this heightened the tension, because the US wanted him to give his people more rights.

How might containerization have increased globalization in the 20th and 21st centuries?
Andrej [43]

Answer:

With containerization, all goods are loaded onto the same container that travels around the world as if it were one single piece. Therefore, the exporter can hire a series of interconnected services (truck, ship, train); all prepared to load and unload the container and easily transport it from one place to another.Containerisation has been a catalyst for globalisation. By lowering the costs of trade containerisation has encouraged specialisation and the expansion of global supply chains. Hope it helps (Brainliest please)

do you think the positive effects of the columbian exchange outweighed its negative effect? explain your answer.
Ksju [112]

Answer:

No

Explanation:

My explanation is that they brought many diseases with them from Africa and Spain and that alone killed many native Americans by millions and they also had them overworked and beatin which killed them off too, also they were killed and used to work in mines and they were to convert to Catholicism or be killed. There were barely any good effects like the exchange of goods and introduction to things like horses and potatoes.

hopefully this helps you and if it does mark brainlest pls it really helps. ;)
