My mom was so scared and worried that she turned into full protective mama bear mode. I would never forget those days because she wouldn’t leave my side at all until I felt better. She would keep me in her room and we would watch movies together until I felt tired and fell asleep. When I would wake up, she would have soup prepared for me so that I at least would be able to eat something. My mom was so caring that it touches my heart every time I remember that moment. She’s always there.

What is the one disadvantage of writing this story in the first-person point of view?
melomori [17]

I'd go with the first option, because if you are writing a first-person you are using the word I a lot. and that gets kind of boring.
