Under the Judiciary act of 1801 President Adams appointed hundreds of new judges. why do you think these appointees were known a
Svetlanka [38]

Answer:

Adams created previosuly non-existing judicial vacancies and achieved the appointment of federalist supporters as judges. Voting in the Senate on their candidacy and registration of judicial patents lasted until midnight on the last day of Adams' tenure, hence the name "midnight judges."

The Jefferson administration has tried to cancel midnight appointments. However, one of the appointed but not patented judjes, William Marbury, appealed to the US Supreme Court. The Court ruled that the government did not have the right to refuse Marbury’s office, but at the same time recognized the Act on the Court as unconstitutional.

Which of the following best describes trench warfare? A It was a brutal, sluggish, horrific affair. B It was a war of mobility a
Phoenix [80]
"A" is quite correct, though "C" adds a bit more detail of how soldiers felt about Trench Warfare. In my honest opinion, I think "D" is the correct answer.

Trench Warfare was rather horrific, and brutal to say the least -- it was also "boring" during stalemates if neither party was engaging in any sort of push.

Note: I'm not a teacher of any sorts! This is just my opinion from things I've learned in the previous years.
