Answer:

she spend $600 more on phone than on bag.

part A:

let the money she have be m,

she spent on mobile phone: \sf m * \frac{4}{5} → \sf  \frac{4}{5}m

remaining: \sf  m-\frac{4}{5}m → \sf \frac{1}{5}m

she spent on bag: \sf \frac{1}{5}m * \frac{2}{3} → \sf \frac{2m}{15}

remaining: \sf \sf \frac{1}{5}m - \sf \frac{2m}{15} → \sf \frac{1}{15}m

so,

\sf \frac{1}{15}m = 60

m = $900

part B:

money she spent on mobile phone:  \sf  \frac{4}{5}m  →  \sf  \frac{4}{5}(900)  →  $720

money she spent on bag: \sf \frac{2m}{15}  →  \sf \frac{2}{15} * 900 → $120

more money she spent on mobile phone than on bag:

mobile phone cost - bag cost

720 - 120

$600

Is D the right answer please help!
Leto [7]
The correct answer is C.
-5 is not greater than -3. Negatives are tricky; remember that the closer a negative is to zero, the greater that quantity actually is.

Well you need to find the value of x. So this is what you do. You have to isolate the variable in other words it needs to be on one side of the equation. You would need to add 11 to both sides and you would get 13x= 9x -2. Then you do the same with 9x and subtract it from boths sides and end up with 4x= -2. You divide -2 by 4 and get -1/2 as your answer. So x= -1/2. I hope this helps love! :)
