Anna Pauline "Pauli" Murray was an American civil rights activist who went on to become a lawyer, champion for equality of the gender, Episcopal priest, and author.

Write about Pauli?

Pauli's perception of the race was shaped further by her family's mixed ancestry. Several of Pauli's ancestors were the progeny of white slave owners and enslaved Black women who engaged in gender abuse.

Pauli described her family as a "mini-United Nations," with different skin tones. Life in segregated Durham presented the world as white against black, but Pauli's ancestors rejected that distinction.

Pauli did exceptionally well in school. She taught herself to read at the age of five, finished sixth grade at the age of ten, and graduated from high school at the age of fifteen.

Pauli's family encouraged her to attend a Black college, but she refused to return to a segregated school environment.

Thus, B, C, and E are correct answers.
