Well a cellphone tower has angles and it has a distance so it is possible to use trigonometry to determine its height. tools to be used are maybe a calculator, measuring tape, paper, and a pencil or pen

Answer:

To measure the height of a cell phone tower using trigonometry, we can use trigonometric reasons.

In most of the cases, we recur to the tanget, because it relates the height of the tower cell and the horizontal distance to the tower.

tan \theta = \frac{h}{d}

Where \theta is the angle formed by the ground and the ditance from the grond to the top of the tower, h is the height of the tower and d is the distance between the person and the tower.

The image attached shows the right triangle formed.

So, the tangent reason we use to find the height of the tower.

Using an odometer, we measure the distance of the ground. Using a theodolite we measure the angle \theta. Then, we use the tangent reason to find h.

That's how we measure the height of the tower.

If a and b are two angles in standard position in Quadrant I, find cos(a+b) for the given function values. sin a=3/5and cos b=12
insens350 [35]

You have to find the cos of angle A, so use the Pythagorean equation and trig laws to find the other side of the triangle created by angle A. 3^2 + x^2 = 5^2. x=4. This means cos(A) = 4/5). Make both cos (A) and cos (B) have equal denominators, and add. 148/185 + 60/185 = 208/185. This answer is correct, though it doesn’t appear to be any of the answers you wrote, so either those answers are wrong or you wrote something incorrectly in the problem.

Help I need step by step answer To the ones circled ASAP!!!!
swat32

Answer:

4. Multiply both sides by -2 => x - 7 = -36, Add 7 to both sides -> x = -29

5. Add 12 to both sides => 28 = 1/4x, then multiply both sides by 4 => 112

x = 112

7. Multiply both sides by 3 => 5x - 2 = 63, add 2 to both sides => 5x = 65,

Divide both sides by 5 -> x = 13

10. Multiply both sides by 6 => 132 = 3x - 6, Add 6 to both sides => 138 = 3x,

Divide both sides by 3 => x = 46

There are 107 coins in a jar, all dimes and nickels. The coins are worth $6.70. How many of each kind of
weqwewe [10]

d = number of dimes

n = number of nickels

The jar contains a total of 107 coins, so

d + n = 107

Each dime is worth $0.10 and each nickel is worth $0.05, and the jar contains a total value of $6.70, so

0.10d + 0.05n = 6.70

Multiply both sides of the second equation by 100 to eliminate the decimal points:

10d + 5n = 670

Multiply both sides of the first equation by -5:

-5d - 5n = -535

Add the corresponding sides of these two equations to eliminate n and solve for d :

(10d + 5n) + (-5d - 5n) = 670 + (-535)

(10 - 5)d + (5 - 5)n = 670 - 535

5d = 135

d = 135/5 = 27

Then

n = 107 - d = 80

so the jar contains 27 dimes and 80 nickels.

Fiesta28 [93]

Answer:

114 Feet^2

Step-by-step explanation:

Volume is length*width*height

So we can cut our shape into 2 rectanges.

The bottom one will have the dimensions of 6*1*3 which is 18 feet

And the top one will have the dimensions of 8*4*3 which is 96 feet

Add them up, 96+18=114 feet
