La could possibly work towards a hobby that makes her happy, that she could connect with her peers on. I for one feel lonely all the time, and I overcome this sense of loneliness and dread by playing video games and talking to my closest friends.

Answer:

I think La is able to overcome her loneliness and connect by others by people asking her out if they want to be friends and she answered yes. I overcame the negative feeling by being kind to others in school so people can invite me into there group. I did it for about 6 years and then they invited me to there group. I want lonely anymore as I had about 10 friends.

Explanation: I figured it out by using my memory of me being lonely and overcoming my loneliness.

Which of the following is not an example of situational irony?
maxonik [38]

Answer:

D. A teacher running right into a door and falling on her face

Explanation:

Situational irony is a situation, outcome or an action that happens although that was unexpected from the known facts or premises.

It is completely unexpected for an experienced Olympic diver to make such a beginner's mistake and do the belly flop.

We could say the same for an 80- year old lady to be familiar with modern technologies, let alone use them and be a part of it.

Also, a ridiculously short man winning a high-jump competition is a rather unexpected outcome.

However, a teacher running right into a door and falling is simply a painful accident, because teachers aren't in any way less prone to accidents nor it is expected of them to never accidentally injure themselves.

Match the fallacy with its name.
allsm [11]

Answer:

Non sequitur.

Explanation:

Fallacy can be defined as a mistaken or false belief that are based on illogical arguments or reasoning.

However, a lot of people might actually think it to true but it isn't. There are various types of fallacy, these include;

black or white, non sequitur, ad hominem, bandwagon, appeal to authority, straw man, oversimplification/hasty generalization.

A non sequitur in Latin simply means that, "it does not follow." When a conclusion made doesn't tally or align with a previous statement (evidence), it is known as non sequitur.

Simply stated, a non sequitur refers to a statement that isn't logical.

Example of a non sequitur are;

"For a great night's sleep, buy a mattress from Mattress Warehouse. Our unique brand of mattress is the only mattress that Stephen King will buy for his home."

"I had dysentery last night after eating meat pie, pizzas are the best and tastiest."
