Oscar Hammerstein II was Stephen Sondheim’s mentor because
Hammerstein II recognized Stephen’s talent and worked on it to develop it
further. Stephen Joshua Sondheim was born on March 22 in the year 1930. He was
a great composer of music and lyricist of United States of America. Sondheim
received several great awards in his lifetime and became one of the most sought
after composer and lyricist of his time. Stephen Sondheim did not realize about
his talent in music until he was a teenager and met his mentor Hammerstein II.
One way the U.S and the U.S.S.R were competing during the Cold War was with military technology. Both sides invested heavily into new military technologies trying to get the upper hand. The Second way was the Space race, both sides competed to be the first to put a man on the moon.
