In order to answer this question, I will guide you on how to write the letter. This type of letter is a formal letter. Here is a guide:

  1. This letter will carry two addresses - Your address (at the top right hand side) and the recipient's address (at the left hand side just after your address).
  2. Then you salute the recipient: Dear Sir or Dear Ma.
  3. Then you give your letter a heading. This will the Inspector General of Police to understand what your letter is all about.
  4. Then go straight to the body of the letter telling the Inspector why you are qualified for enlistment into the Sierra Leone police force.
  5. Then close with: "Yours faithfully or Yours sincerely".
  6. Then you append your signature and your full name.
