History

Vladimir [108]2 years ago

Answer:

Explanation:

It was a policy adapted by the British government prior to WW2. Britain and her prime minister (Neville Chamberlin) sought any solution that would keep Britain out of a war with Germany. Hitler was not so anxious to have peace.

Appeasement was developed as a policy of turning the government of a stated country over to Hitler in return for peace. Of course, Hitler had no intention of honoring such a treaty. Britain finally drew a line in the sand when she said "If you invade Poland, that's it. It means war." Hitler invaded Poland and it was war.

(20) For a trivial offence, a free man shall be fined only in proportion to the degree of his offence, and for a serious offence
umka2103 [35]

Answer:

The drawbacks would be that many would be excused from harsh punishment as they will be fined in proportion to their case; and by Earls and Barons being fined only by their class, it allows those classes to get away with their actions whenever they do something to a lower class. The benefits would be the same as the drawbacks, less punishment and the ability to get away with crimes.

According to historians, Bolsheviks wanted to keep towns (the proletarian power-base) and the Red Army stocked with food and weapons. As a result, Bolsheviks had absolute power of who would acquire a job and where people would live.

Why did the military dictatorships crack down on workers, students, and native peoples?
fredd [130]

Answer:

They were subversive against the government.

Explanation:

Although the word subversive might be a bit strong. It's better to say that they were the opposition to the military dictatorship, because being subversive usually has the implication of arming oneself against the government, and neither the workers nor the students nor the native peoples were armed.

These are social groups that fought for democracy during the military dictatorship, and because of that, suffered from great oppression. Many leaders of student organizations, labor unions, and native communities were incarcerated, murdered, or disappeared.
