Indians did not consider anyone as the master of the land but the whites were having opposite mind set.
The whites wanted to expand their land territories because they thought they had right to the land as they were inferior. Buffalo that supported Indians were killed by the white hunters. The settlers used their power and kept on moving Indians which caused the rise of several conflicts between these ethnic groups.
