Answer: 8 + x =20

Step-by-step explanation: eight more than a number means 8 more than meaning plus, a number. So this is saying that 8 more than what ever that number is, will equal 20. We say x in the equation because x can be see as “the number”.

x = “the number” = 12

This is because 8 more than 12 is 20...

So 8 more than a number = 8 + x = 20

Answer:

a=7.85-1/2^b

Step-by-step explanation:

2a=15.7-b Move variable to the right side and change its sign

2a=15.7-b Divide both sides of the equation by 2

a=7.85-1/2^b The final solution for a is

Snezhnost [94]

Answer:

The exponential Function is 20+12h=200.

Farmer will have 200 sheep after <u>15 years</u>.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

Number of sheep bought = 20

Annual Rate of increase in sheep = 60%

We need to find that after how many years the farmer will have 200 sheep.

Let the number of years be 'h'

First we will find the Number of sheep increase in 1 year.

Number of sheep increase in 1 year is equal to Annual Rate of increase in sheep multiplied by Number of sheep bought and then divide by 100.

framing in equation form we get;

Number of sheep increase in 1 year = \frac{60}{100}\times20 = 12

Now we know that the number of years farmer will have 200 sheep can be calculated by Number of sheep bought plus Number of sheep increase in 1 year multiplied by number of years  is equal to 200.

Framing in equation form we get;

20+12h=200

The exponential Function is 20+12h=200.

Subtracting both side by 20 using subtraction property we get;

20+12h-20=200-20\\\\12h=180

Now Dividing both side by 12 using Division property we get;

\frac{12h}{12} = \frac{180}{12}\\\\h =15

Hence Farmer will have 200 sheep after <u>15 years</u>.

Find X and Y and show please show calculations
torisob [31]

Answer:

Y = 90

X = 52

Step-by-step explanation:

Y is on a straight line. The sum of the angles on a straight line is 180.

The only other angle (that is marked) on this straight line, is a 90 degree one. So, <y + 90 = 180.

<y = 90.

Now <x + 38 = 90

so, x = 52

Anybody know the answer?
expeople1 [14]
Y=x-2+3
I put x-2 because when graphing it's the opposite so it would technically be x+2
Then the +3 for the y chords which go up by 3 ! if this is wrong then try Y= (x-2)+3
