Poem:
World War 2 was a terrible time
Countries hated each other
We didn't even care what did to one another

World War 2 was a time where we all lived in fear
Men went to war and families were torn apart
The soldiers had to watch as the train pulled out, their family in tears

Many people perished in that terrible war
Adolf Hitler is the cause of all this horror
He believed to that the Jews who were different than him
Should be killed or locked away, never to be seen again

Some countries did not like his new ideas
Some countries supported Hitler with all their heart
No matter what side you took part it, one think was certain
Our planet was divided

Some people say we should forget this terrible time
I don't think this idea is fine
We cannot forget the brave souls who were lost
We have to make sure we don't repeat our mistakes and we always remember why we fought.

Why might Germany have opposed the Lend-Lease Act?
grigory [225]
Number two.

we weren’t formally in a war, but we were still sending resources and money to britain. there was already very little chance of germany and the us joining forces. at the time, most people didn’t want to join “another european war”. after pearl harbor, we declared war on japan. then germany declared war on us, without any major conflict happening between the two nations. the lend-lease act wasn’t one of the main reasons the us was brought into the war. hope that helps :D

What were the framers afraid would happen if they designed a national government that was to powerful?
stiv31 [10]

Answer:

Conflict and Compromise in American Politics

Because the framers feared the development of an American monarchy, the Articles of Confederation outlined a very limited government for the United States.  Congress had little power over the states and could not force them to pay taxes, regulate trade, or maintain an army.
