Answer:

13:12

Step-by-step explanation:

To start off, we already have a ratio of boys to girls, 240:260!

But this can be simplified into an easier form

When simplifying ratios, like equations, whatever you do to one side, you HAVE to do to the other side.

So let’s first divide both sides by 2

240/2 is 120 and 260/2 is 130

So our equation now becomes 120:130

But this can be simplified even further. Let’s divide everything by 2 again

120/2 is 60 and 130/2 is 65

Our new ratio is now 60:65

But we can simplify even more! Now let’s divide each side by 5

60/5 is 12 and 65/5 is 13

The new ratio is 12:13

Since we can’t simplify further, this is our second to last answer (almost done!)

In the problem it says girls to boys but it puts boys first as well in the problem.

Order DOES matter, so all we have to do is switch the two numbers around

Final answer is…

13:12!!!!!

I hope this helped, and please award brainliest if possible!

Have a great day!

What is the value of x?
Karo-lina-s [1.5K]
To calculate the value of x, you can apply:

 Tan(α)=Opposite leg/Adjacent leg

 In this case, the opposite leg is "x", and the adjacent leg is 15. The angle α is 30° (α=30°)

 When we substitute this values, we obtain:

 Tan(α)=Opposite leg/Adjacent leg
 Tan(30°)=x/15
 x=(15)(Tan(30°))
 x=5√3

 The answer is: The value of x is 5√3
