The average of integers a and b is 12. if c = 3, what is the average of integers a, b, and c ?
Anni [7]

You know that the sum of a and b is 24, because the average is the sum of the numbers divided by the amount of numbers added together, and 12*2 is 24. Add 3 to 24 so you have 27, and then divide that by 3 because there are now 3 numbers in the set. The average of a, b, and c is 9.

Do you think a longer school calendar is a good idea? Why or why not? What would be pros and cons, if implemented?
Anvisha [2.4K]
I do not believe a longer school calendar is a good idea for a few reasons. One reason is that I believe kids need to have time to be kids and have some time off of school. Also, students wouldn’t tire out as easily with the ongoing overload of school. A con can be that childcare could be difficult to find when they are not in school and also that some kids do better with consistency and no break.

Read the excerpt from "An Irish Airman Foresees His Death. " I know that I shall meet my fate Somewhere among the clouds above;
Elanso [62]

"An Irish Airman Foresees His Death" is a poem by William Butler Yeats whereas "Do not go gentle into that good night" is a poem by Dylan Thomas. Both these poems discuss the topic of death.

The above two excerpts differ in how they address the topic of death as can be seen in option D: The excerpt from "An Irish Airman Foresees His Death" reveals an acceptance of death, while the main idea in the excerpt from "Do not go gentle into the good night" is to fight death at all costs.

Comparison of the concept of death in above poems

Further description of the answer is as follows:

 • The poems above address the topic of death but the perspective of handling it is different.

 • In the first poem, the poet is talking about acceptance of the concept of death, whereas in the second poem, the poet urges to fight death until the last breath.

Therefore, the correct answer is option D.
