5x-1=19
1st you add the one over to the 19 and you'll get 20
then you do 5x=20
divide the 5x over to the 20 and your final answer is 4.

Ok so you have 5x-1=19
so remember you have to add 1 on both sides so when we add to the 1 it crosses out so now we add 1 to 19 which equals 20.after that we have to divide the 5x by 5 and then we cross it out so now we are left with 20 divided by 5 which equals 4.
Meaning it x=4

Thank you I hope you get it correct :)

Find f.<br><br> A) 7.4<br><br> B) 8.2<br><br> C) 10.5<br><br> D) 11.1
tatyana61 [14]
F=72

g=6

------------

\cos { \left( F \right)  } =\frac { { e }^{ 2 }+{ g }^{ 2 }-{ f }^{ 2 } }{ 2eg }

Therefore:

\cos { \left( 72 \right)  } =\frac { { e }^{ 2 }+{ 6 }^{ 2 }-{ f }^{ 2 } }{ 2\cdot e\cdot 6 } \\ \\ \cos { \left( 72 \right)  } =\frac { { e }^{ 2 }+36-{ f }^{ 2 } }{ 12e }

\\ \\ 12e\cdot \cos { \left( 72 \right)  } ={ e }^{ 2 }+36-{ f }^{ 2 }\\ \\ \therefore \quad { f }^{ 2 }={ e }^{ 2 }-12e\cdot \cos { \left( 72 \right)  } +36\\ \\ \therefore \quad f=\sqrt { { e }^{ 2 }-12e\cdot \cos { \left( 72 \right) +36 }  } \\ \\ \therefore \quad f=\sqrt { e\left( e-12\cos { \left( 72 \right)  }  \right) +36 }

But what is e?

E=76

G=32

g=6

And:

\frac { e }{ \sin { \left( E \right)  }  } =\frac { g }{ \sin { \left( G \right)  }  }

Which means that:

\frac { e }{ \sin { \left( 76 \right)  }  } =\frac { 6 }{ \sin { \left( 32 \right)  }  } \\ \\ \therefore \quad e=\frac { 6\cdot \sin { \left( 76 \right)  }  }{ \sin { \left( 32 \right)  }  }

If you take this value into account, you will discover that f is...

f=\sqrt { \frac { 6\cdot \sin { \left( 76 \right)  }  }{ \sin { \left( 32 \right)  }  } \left( \frac { 6\cdot \sin { \left( 76 \right)  }  }{ \sin { \left( 32 \right)  }  } -12\cos { \left( 72 \right)  }  \right) +36 } \\ \\ \therefore \quad f=10.8\quad \left( 1\quad d.p \right)

So I would have to say that the answer is approximately (c).

How do I Simplify (5x-2)4 using the distributive property?
BartSMP [9]

Answer:

20x - 8

Step-by-step explanation:

using the distributive property to simplify (5x-2)4, you would multiply the outside term (4) by each inside term (5x-2).

for example:

4 × 5x = 20x

4 × -2 = -8

once you distribute the 4 into 5x-2, you are left with 20x - 8 which needs no further simplifying

Solve the inequality: (x+3)(x−4)&lt;−12
melamori03 [73]

Answer:

0<x<1

Step-by-step explanation:

(x+3)(x−4)<−12

FOIL

x^2 -4x+3x -12 <-12

x^2 -x -12 <-12

Add 12 to each side

x^2 -x -12+12 <-12+12

x^2 -x <0

Factor out an x

x(x-1) <0

Using the zero product property

x(x-1) =0

x=0  x-1=0

x=0  x=1

Check the ranges

x<0

x(x-1) <0

- * - >0

False

0<x<1

x(x-1) <0

+ * - <0

True

x>1

x(x-1) <0

+ * + >0

False
