The value of x is 5√3.

Explanation: Given to us,

the base for the triangle, AB = 5 units,

Hypotenuse for the triangle, BC = 10 units,

∠B = 60°,

The question can be solved in two ways,

1.   Using the Pythagoras theorem,

According to Pythagoras theorem,

substituting the values,

for ∠B in ΔABC,

substituting the values,

we know that value of tan(60°) is √3,

Hence, the value of x is 5√3.
