Consider Amy Tan’s essay “Mother Tongue” as well as the video you watched about code-switching. Identify and evaluate two exampl
AleksandrR [38]
Two examples of code-switching are when Tan speaks "incorrect" or "broken" English to her mom in the first personal anecdote (when she tells her mom not to buy something), and when Tan realizes that the English she's using for a literary event is strange to use in front of her mother.

This code-switching reflects Tan's complex upbringing and Asian-American background, because, unlike many people who don't come from immigrant families or who don't speak several languages, she was acutely aware of certain sociolinguistic systems from an early age. For example, although Tan's mother's English makes sense to her, Tan would have to talk for her mother in several situations in order to be understood, to be taken more seriously, or even to be treated fairly.

if anyone has taken journalism before, can you please write me a news story about why poaching is bad. It Has to be at least 4 t
Tema [17]

Answer:

I've never taken journalism, but I can make one hell of an essay.

Explanation:

Poaching is an illegal practice of delinquent rule breaking for the desire of killing for sport. Restrictions such as protected national parks, laws in most countries, protected and tracked endangered species, and other common regulations are all invalidated by hunters who poach. Laws on a country-wide level should be common knowledge, and should have no reason to be enforced so heavily in some countries. Even so, the illegal activity of poaching still occurs in many cases all over the world.

This disgusting "sport" - as categorized by many - is extremely endangering to animals. In fact, most species on the endangered species list are animals who have the highest poaching rate. When they aren't killed for sport, they are killed for "rare" parts. An example of this would be the black rhino poaching crisis in Africa, where rhinos are killed for their horns.

Similar to Yellowstone National Park, there are many special designated areas on the national level to protect the species that live there. More often than not, these areas have endangered species that are desired by hunters who poach. These areas are regularly monitored, and generally have decent security systems. This can include cameras, chips in the animals, or traditional strategies like standing guards.

Chipped animals are those we can accurately track at any point and time. Think of your dog, who might have a chip in his ear so that if he runs away you can find him. We use these chips to track different animals or different species to make sure they are safe and where they need to be. Although this strategy seems bulletproof to catch poachers, illegal hunters have found a simple way around this.

General laws are the least effective strategy to stop poachers, but the most common solution seen by far. While these laws are in place, they are rarely enforced due to them usually being on the federal government level in most countries. Although, as expected, most countries that use this strategy lets poaching go right under all of their noses, making the countries with these laws have the highest amount of this illegal activity going on.
