Answer:

The answer is, the difference between these two poems is that Sympathy keeps three stanzas with a relating rhyme scheme, while Caged Bird is more irregular, meaning it is inconsistent and its rhyming patterns are all over the place, the two poems vary in form and structure and are therefor not the same.

Although very different, these two poems hint at the same theme, which is implying racism of the African American culture all while poking fun at the oppression they where facing, and how the whites where at the time the ""superior"" race.

In conclusion both of these heartfelt poems hint at the fact that all races should have common human rights and should be respected regardless of their skin color or race ideation

Rewrite the sentence by correcting the misplaced modifier, squinting modifier, or dangling modifier.
vladimir2022 [97]

Answer:

Correct sentence is: After trimming back the deadwood, the rose bush bloomed beautifully in the spring.

Explanation:

Modifiers are used in a sentence which describe other words. They can be a single word or group of words. But sometimes, some modifiers  are  used incorrectly. These are of mainly three types. Dangling modifiers are errors that are not a part of the sentence. Squinting modifiers makes the meaning of the sentence unclear as one cannot understand the part of the sentence it is describing. A misplaced modifier describes something that is not intended to be described in a sentence. We need fix these type of modifiers by either adding a new word or rearranging the existing construction of words.

In the given sentence, we need to add a dangling modifier "after" to make the meaning of the sentence clear. "After" is describing "trimming back" in the given line.

One effect of Latin upon Old English syntax was the reliance upon word endings rather than word order. True False
Natasha2012 [34]

False. Old English was a synthetic language, which means that words' endings signalled grammatical order and word order was rather free. As Old English differentiated words' categories through their endings, words could be placed anywhere in a sentence and readers would know the category of the words.

Whenever you read about Latin's influence on Old English, you will find its influence on Old English vocabulary. As scribes translated Latin works into Old English, they frequently found no translation for some Latin words and, thus, they introduced new Latin ones.

For or against? - Determine which article is in favor of the topic and which is against. The tone will influence this. What next? - Determine what the author wants you to do.
