what are the differences and similarities between Dunbar's sympathy and Maya Angelou's I know why the caged bird sings?

Answer:

The answer is, the difference between these two poems is that Sympathy keeps three stanzas with a relating rhyme scheme, while Caged Bird is more irregular, meaning it is inconsistent and its rhyming patterns are all over the place, the two poems vary in form and structure and are therefor not the same.  

Although very different, these two poems hint at the same theme, which is implying racism of the African American culture all while poking fun at the oppression they where facing, and how the whites where at the time the ""superior"" race.

In conclusion both of these heartfelt poems hint at the fact that all races should have common human rights and should be respected regardless of their skin color or race ideation
