The five elements of art are the primary elements needed to make a very good piece of art. Texture as in how the canvas feels, helps you have a better idea on what kind of brush you need to use. Space as in how much space do you have to begin with, before you create your piece you need to have an idea on what you are painting before you begin so you can make sure you have enough space to fit all of your ideas on the canvas.
Montag is a very optimistic person. He sees things differently than the "normal" people in his society. Especially with being around Clarisse, it brings out his character more.
