The earth, isnt over run with bacteria, but its almost everywhere, but cold climates. bacteria is kept under check, especially the bacteria in your food, in your eviroment, and in you yourself. some bacteria is needed though, but if it gets out of control, a doctor, or someone like a nurse, to take a look. Hope this helped!

Mayfly Larva are sensitive to pollution. What would happen if a disaster struck such as pollution in the stream? SELECT ALL THAT
svp [43]

Answer:

Organisms that are eaten by the mayfly will increase.

Organisms that eat mayfly will decrease at first.

Organisms that eat mayfly would consume more of other organisms in their diet

Explanation:

her get killed or they will migrate from the stream that is polluted. The population of the organisms on which the mayfly larva fed would increase as it will have a lesser number of predators now.

On the other hand, the organisms which fed on the mayfly would decrease at first as they will have a lesser amount of food available. They might find another source of food in order to survive.

You are studying two species of tree frog. The two species are found on two different islands, separated by 200 km of ocean wate
Delicious77 [7]

You are studying two species of tree frog. The two species are found on two different islands, separated by 200 km of ocean water. Species A lives on very light-colored rocks and species B lives on dark-colored trees. Which process is most unlikely to be affecting allele frequencies in the population?

a. Gene flow between populations

b. Genetic drift

c. Natural selection

d. Mutation rates

Answer:

a. Gene flow between populations

Explanation:

Gene flow between two populations occurs when one or a few members of one population migrate into the other and interbreed in the new population. This process adds some new alleles to the new population. In the given example, two populations of a tree frog are separated by 200 km of ocean water. Therefore, the frogs of one population would not be able to migrate into the other population and interbreed. So, gene flow can not affect the allele frequencies of these two populations.

Which statements describe how traits are inherited? Check all that apply.
sesenic [268]

The statements describe how traits are inherited are:

 • Traits are inherited when genes are passed from parents to offspring.
 • An offspring can receive different alleles or the same alleles from each parent.

What are traits?

Dominant traits are always expressed when the connected allele is dominant, even if only one copy exists.

Recessive traits are expressed only if both the connected alleles are recessive.

Polygenetic traits are basically the traits that are controlled by two or more genes.

Thus, option "3 and 5" is correct.
