Be kind but yet get the idea through. ”Bob, I understand you love cheeseburgers and every so often that’s perfectly ok, but I feel like we could work something out to where we’re not eating them every day.” something like that is good! (Sidenote but VERY important, I I think you should be more specific between diabetes… Coming from someone who has type one diabetes, it’s annoying to be associated with type two diabetes… Which is very different. So just as a tip be a little more specific! ;)

Answer:

the appropriate tone to use in this instance would be a stern but kind and understanding tone. you don't want to be too forecul in order to avoid the patient rebelling however, you must be stern since it is a matter of life and death; the best course of action is to be entirely honest about the serious effects his habits have on his health. Based on his past actions of following the regimens prescribed by other doctors, he seems to want to lose weight and do better. The best way is to entirely avoid the point of temptation and try to keep it out of sight and out of mind. being kind is important since people react better to kindness rather than control, showing how much you care could cause the patient to want to do better.

Ad libitum [116K]

A nurse is providing patient teaching for a 62-year-old woman who is taking triamterene. The nurse will teach the patient to avoid avocado in her diet.

Triamteren is used alone or in combination with other drugs to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). High blood pressure can cause strain on the heart and arteries. If it lasts too long, your heart and arteries may not be working properly.

Avocados are a superb source of potassium, filled with monounsaturated fats. They are high in dietary fiber and rich in folic acid.

As avocados are rich in postassium, so it decrease the effectiveness of warfarin. It prevent the blood clotting process.

steoporosis and related low bone mass affect many adults in North America, especially older women. One-third of all women experi
tatuchka [14]

Answer: This is TRUE for me. Osteoporosis is a preventable disease.

Explanation:

In this condition, bone density ( the amount of bone tissue) is reduced because it's deposition does not keep pace with resorption. Although the bone is adequately mineralised, it is fragile and microscopically abnormal, with loss of internal structure.

Peak bone mass occurs around 35 years and then gradually declines in both sexes. Lowered oestrogen levels after the menopause are associated with a period of accelerated bone loss in women. Thereafter bone density in women is less than in men for any given age. That is why in North America, one-third of all women experience fractures because of this disease, amounting to about 2 million bone fractures per year.

Common features of osteoporosis are:

--> skeletal deformity: gradual loss of height with age, caused by compression of vertebrae.

--> bone pain

--> fractures: especially of the hip ( neck of femur), wrist and vertebrae.

It is TRUE for me that some risk factors can't be changed ( which is the low oestrogen levels that occur after menopause in women) but others, such as poor calcium intake, can.

Exercise and Calcium intake during childhood and adolescence are important in determining eventual bone mass of an individual and in preventing risk of osteoporosis in later life.

Otitis media (middle ear infection) is sometimes associated with pharyngitis (sore throat). Explain why this is so.
Ganezh [65]

Answer:

Otitis media is generally caused by dysfunction of the Eustachian tube, which can be due to Pharyngitis.

Explanation:

The otitis media is an infection or inflammation of the middle ear and is mostly caused by the inflammation of the mucous membranes in the nasopharynx leading to dysfunction of the Eustachian tube. This can be caused due to a upper respiratory tract viral infection or streptococcal pharyngitis (strep throat) or due to some allergy.

Pharyngitis or sore throat is a type of inflammation caused by upper respiratory tract viral infection.

Therefore, Otitis media can be caused by Pharyngitis and thus it is associated with it.
