Mary White as child she was born in England, and her parents moved to the present day New England. Her father was one of the wealthiest men in town and in 1656 the young Mary White got married to Reverend Joseph Rowlandson and settled into married life. Rowlandson's attitude towards her captors did not change after the experience. She viewed her experience as part of the greater purpose of God and all the experience has helped her in building a greater relationship with Him as the pastor 's wife. Her complete supplication to God is what saves her in the end.
