How do the experiences of the buffalo soldiers compare to experiences of african americans in the military today? what has chang
liq [111]
The buffalo soldiers were expected to be the weaker lot - not as good as the white soldiers, most people who were in the army did not have much hope for them. They did not get as good quality guns, they had old uniform given out to them and got second priority after the white soldiers-I.e if there wasn't enough tents for both lots the white soldiers would come first so they would get the tents while the buffalo soldiers would have to sleep on the ground.Racial Abuse was experienced continuously, at the start of the buffalo soldiers time , slavery had just been abolished so it was difficult for black soldiers to be seen equal and free to the white soldiers who were used to treating them horribly, and saw the black soldiers as unable and useless. The black and white soldiers were also segregated into separate lots.

Now that is not the case, racism is not tolerated even though unfortunately it still happens in some cases.

Leona [35]

Why did Lincoln need to organize the armed forces at the start of his presidency many top military leaders were old and unable to lead the army.

Lincoln surmised that releasing these slaves could weaken the energy of the accomplice military, for this reason justifying the Emancipation Proclamation as an act of “navy necessity” that become legitimate under the constitution.

Lincoln changed into deciding to hold the Union and to achieve this he notion he need to take a stand against the Confederacy. He concluded he might as properly take this stand at Sumter. Lincoln's number one goal turned into neither to initiate struggle nor maintain peace.

Between his inauguration in 1861 and his assassination in 1865, Lincoln made himself a student of military strategies and methods. But at the same time as he assumed the workplace, Lincoln changed into no longer without military experience. In 1832, Lincoln spent three months in the Illinois military at some stage in the Black Hawk warfare.

It is 1941 and many of the American people are still very uneasy about joining this war. Congress is debating the Lend-Lease Act
olga nikolaevna [1]

Answer:

The Lend-Lease Act stated that the U.S. government could lend or lease (rather than sell) war supplies to any nation deemed “vital to the defense of the United States.” Under this policy, the United States was able to supply military aid to its foreign allies during World War II while still remaining officially neutral in the conflict. Most importantly, passage of the Lend-Lease Act enabled a struggling Great Britain to continue fighting against Germany virtually on its own until the United States entered World War II late in 1941.
