The prompt you have been asked to write about is a Formal Letter. The steps below will show you how to write an effective formal letter.

How do you write a Formal Letter?

A formal letter should:

  • have your address on the top right corner
  • the date of the letter below your address
  • have the name and designation of the recipient and their address on the bottom left corner a line below the date
  • start with a salutation such as "Dear Sir,"

Then you insert a caption such as : THE PROBLEMS FACING THE STUDENTS ATTHE DEPARTMENT OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE.

It must have an introduction that is E.g. "this letter is written to inform you of the problems at the department of ...".

In the body, you can note three points that are logical and that support highlight the problems in detail.

Another paragram should be dedicated to suggesting solutions.

Do ensure that you have a great closing. You may use Best regards, or Yours sincerely because it is a formal letter.

The last item should be your name and your signature. Your signature should come before your name.

Which topic is shared by the poems "If We Must Die" and "To a Dark Girl"?
fgiga [73]

"If We Must Die" was written by Claude McKay while "To a Dark Girl" was written by Gwendolyn Bennett. The topic that is shared by these two poems is;

  • The ability to remain dauntless in adversity

In the poem, "To a Dark Girl," the poet praised the beauty of the brown girl. The poet also encouraged her to preserve her 'queenliness' even though she was considered a slave by her oppressors.

In the poem, "If We Must Die," the poet also encouraged the black man to courageously face his foes even though they outnumbered him.

So, both poems share the theme of remaining dauntless in the face of adversity.

Read the excerpt from "The Storyteller." In a low, confidential voice, interrupted at frequent intervals by loud, petulant quest
lara31 [8.8K]

Answer:

c) It is necessary to question authority.

Explanation:

Themes in any story are the morals or lessons that are addressed within the story. It may not be directly stated in the story but can be applied in real life or may come in use in future.

In the story, the narrator of "The Storyteller" is the aunt who is of more authorial stature than the children or the bachelor. In her telling of the story of the good little girl, she seems to assert the importance of elderly respect which the listeners seems to find absurd, if not uninteresting. The question posed by one of the bigger girls, which "<em>was exactly the question that the bachelor had wanted to ask</em>" shows their questioning of the authority of a person, even if that person is elder to them. Thus, the story tends to include the importance of asking questions. Just because someone is in a higher position or authority, that doesn't make the person right. There are no laws or rules that validates the authority of an individual over someone younger or lower.
