The procedure to successfully master boiling an egg using the given conditioning include:

  • By looking at someone who can boil an egg and learning. Observational Learning.
  • Rewarding yourself with a cookie if you boil the egg right or giving the egg away if you fail to boil it right. Operant Conditioning.
  • To note the time period which an egg usually uses to boil right. Classical Conditioning.

<h3>What is Operant Conditioning?</h3>

This refers to the associative learning process in which the strength of a behavior is reinforced either through a reward or punishment.

Hence, we can note that classical conditioning occurs when a stimulus is paired with a neutral stimulus, while observational learning has to do with the learned behavior through the viewing of someone else practising the behavior.
