What is the simplified form of the equation 4/5n - 1/5 = 2/5n ?
Gnoma [55]

we are given

\frac{4}{5}n -\frac{1}{5} =\frac{2}{5}n

Firstly , we will multiply both sides by 5

5*\frac{4}{5}n -5*\frac{1}{5} =5*\frac{2}{5}n

now, we can simplify it

4n-1 =2n

2n =1

now, we can solve for n

n =\frac{1}{2}.............Answer

The hypotenuse and one of the legs of a right triangle form an angle that has a cosine of 2 √2 .
Tems11 [23]
Quick answer I don't think this has an answer.

If you take the cos-1(2 sqrt(2)) your calculator should have a fit. Let's check that out. Mine certainly does. So there is something wrong with the question. If there is something to add in please do it and I will it least put an answer in the comments. As it stands, nothing will work.

If you put your calculator in radians, you will get an answer but it will not be anything resembling the choices you've listed.

If you meant sqrt(2) / 2 that would give 45o. Put it in your calculator like this 2 ^ 0.5 divided by 2 = 0.707
Cos - 1 (0.707) = 45

5. 18 m 11 m Not drawn to scale 29 m b. 445 m 7 m d. 203 m
Luden [163]
Answer: D

Explanation: Apply the pythagorean theorem (a^2 + b^2 = c^2) to get 11^2 + b^2 = 18^2. From that you can solve for b and you get the square root of 203.

Hope this helped! :)

Jamal has $15.00 to spend at the concession stand. He buys nachos for $7.50, and he wants to purchase some sour straws for $1.50
GalinKa [24]

Answer:

x = 5

$15.00 is the total amount of money Jamal has right? To find the remaining amount of money Jamal has subtract 15 - 7.5 (price of nachos) = 7.5 (remaining amount of money Jamal has.) Now for part 2, since the sour straws are $1.50 each you just have to multiply X to get close as close to the remaining amount of money as possible.

1.50× 5 (amount of sour straws) is equal to 7.50 (price of 5 sour straws).

To check your answer let's add the price of nachos (7.50) and 5 sour straws (7.50) which is 15.00 the total amount Jamal brought with him.

Let me know if you have any other questions :)
