Let’s start with definitions.

Art, according to Britannica is, “art, also called (to distinguish it from other art forms) visual art, a visual object or experience consciously created through an expression of skill or imagination. The term art encompasses diverse media such as painting, sculpture, printmaking, drawing, decorative arts, photography, and installation.”

Ethics, according to Britannica is, “ethics, also called moral philosophy, the discipline concerned with what is morally good and bad and morally right and wrong. The term is also applied to any system or theory of moral values or principles.”

Similarities between art and ethics:

- Art is an expression and it can show ethics through it.

- Both art and ethics have something to do with philosophy.

- Morality and art are connected usually in art that provokes and disturbs.

- The relationship between the artist and society is intertwined and sometimes at odds as it relates to art and ethics.
