1) Militarism- a belief that a nation should maintain a strong military; this was crucial as in ww1, many nation adopted this belief and believed they had the power necessary to influence other nations.
Triple alliance- the alliance in the early 20th century between Germany, Austria-Hungary, and Italy
Kaiser Wilhelm II- He is the German keiser (monarch/emperor) during the early 20th century.
Triple entente- the alliance in the early 20th century between France, Britain, and Russia

2) Nationalism is supporting one’s own nation against other nations. Nationalists in Britain, France, and Germany are generally unified because they often share similar cultures and ideologies which can unify a nation. Nationalist in Russia, the Austria-Hungary empire, and the Ottoman Empire are generally divided due to different ethnic and ideology conflicts within their nation, causing great separations.

3) Imperialism is the intent of a nation to expand its influence and territory, usually through military means. Militarism can offer a nation the necessary amount of military forces to enforce it on others. Once the political climate of a nation demands imperialism, militarism will then commence.

4) when young Turks came into ottoman power in the early 20th century, they had a set of radical ideologies. Particularly nationalistic ones. Due to religious and societal aspects, the young Turks committed genocide against the Armenian people.

5) this is your opinion. Research on militarism, nationalism, alliances, and imperialism: the four key factors to ww1
