The repeated words in italics underscore Kevin's constant desire to improve his skills.

What do the words repeated in italics represent?

 • They represent a repetitive noise.
 • They represent the noise of Kevin's workouts.
 • They show how Kevin trains frequently.

Kevin is a hockey player. He tries so hard to be the best, his parents built a rink in the backyard so he could train more often, which is why the neighbors hear so much noise.

This noise is a way of indirectly characterizing Kevin.

This question is about the story "Beartown"

More information about indirect characterization is at the link:

Atlas Shrugged - The Trilogy

You know when you're sick and need something mindless to watch? And the thing you pick turns out to be so terrible that you almost become sicker? That describes the Atlas Shrugged trilogy.

I could spend hours going on about how bad this movie was but here are some of the lowlights.

First off...the cast changes from movie to movie...not the characters the actors playing them. Whether it was because the people making the films were running out of money and the subsequent sequels were budgeted lower grade I don't know but...it was a wee bit off putting.

Secondly...the whole trilogy is shot in some sort of soft focus sort of thing more reminiscent of softcore entertainment from the 90s. Maybe it was intended to make it more sci-fi-ish or something but...again...no clue.

Thirdly...the dialogue. I have never ready Ayn Rand's work nor do I care to but...my god...if these movies are even a faint reflection of her work then it so so heavy handed and over the top that it's more than slightly cringeworthy.

Fourthly the editing was/is atrocious. Characters appear and disappear almost at will. Little explanation is given to motive or...anything.

I freely admit I watched it until the end out of...self loathing or something I don't know but...if you don't want to make yourself even sicker...avoid it at all costs.

In the excerpt from "The Cask of Amontillado", which of the following is not an example of foreshadowing?
anygoal [31]

Answer: Sanger Rainsford with the love of hunting, used to chasing wild diversion. By the time he was stranded in Zaroff's island, he stops to be a hunter and turns into the hunted. This change everything that Rainsford knew before. He couldn't believe that he will become a prey his entire life. Rainsford swings to his own particular chasing abilities as ingrained instincts. He starts to acquire gratefulness for the equivocation of the creatures he hunted, and what the hunt is about from both viewpoints. Particularly when he begins turning the tables on General Zaroff. At the point when Rainsford, in the end, wins the "diversion," he is just about finished with "amusement" chasing.
