Citizen Kane: Orson Welles’ film is about a character who is larger than life, to use a very trite phrase. Originally, it was to

be called The American, which gives a clue into the Welles’ intent in writing the screenplay. Does Kane capture some American essence? Is there a critique of the American ‘spirit’ (whatever that may be) in the film? If so, what is it?

Kane captures some American essence when he is given the American dream - luxury and financial affluence. A critique of the American spirit is seen when Kane uses his wealth to either buy love or make others miserable.

What does ethics in art mean to you? Pls write a long enough paragraph if able describing what it may mean to you .
loris [4]

Answer:

Ethics is a set of principles and regulations of a moral nature, which involve an evaluation of people's behavior and the promotion of what is right and the repression of what is wrong.

In art, ethics is embodied through the different themes that artists embody in their work. Thus, artists show their different convictions and ethical beliefs in their works, by focusing on moral issues in their pieces of art, such as songs, paintings, etc.

For example, an artist representing positive feelings such as kindness or charity in his works expresses an approach that allows identifying his personal ethical component.
